Last Meeting

Today is the last meeting of circle. We are going to go Hiroshima to ski in this spring vacation. I’m looking forward to visiting Hiroshima and skiing. This is the first time for me to visit Hiroshima.

After meeting, we moved to gym of Jousei junior high school and we played sports. The first, we played basketball. It was hard for me to play basketball because I don’t like to play basketball. So I didn’t play basketball so much but I watched it. To Watch basketball was more fun for me than to play it. After basketball, we played badminton. When I was a junior high school student, I belonged to badminton club. So I like to play badminton very much. But I have long time no play badminton, I couldn’t play badminton well. But I enjoyed playing badminton very much. In my circle, there are many people who belonged to badminton club so we organized badminton club in my circle. The name of this club is ERCB (Economic Research Club Badminton). We planned to play badminton again in this spring vacation. Finally, we played dodge ball.
I’ve also long time no play dodge ball. I don’t like to play dodge ball but today I could enjoy playing dodge ball! After sports, we took pictures.

After sports, we went to hot spring. Because it was very cold day, it was very comfortable for us. We stayed hot spring for about an hour and we moved Macdnald because we felt a little hungry. Then, we talked about various things. We stayed there for about two hours! After that, we went back.

I enjoyed the last circle activity very much!

BR2-08: The Goose that laid the Golden Eggs

I read “The Goose that laid the Golden Eggs” today. I’m going to talk about this book’s story.

Tom and Elena lived in a small cottage and they were very poor. Every morning, Tom collected the eggs and sell in the village. One day, Tom found a strange egg and it was a golden egg! He sold this golden egg. The next morning, he found another golden egg and he sold it every day so they became rich. He wanted lots of gold. Then Elena suggested that they kill the goose. Because she thought that they can have all gold at once. So they killed the goose. But there was no gold inside at all. They were poor again and he never found another golden egg.

This book taught me various things. It is not good for people too much greedy. I think that people should not forget humility. I believe that if they haven’t killed the goose, they could keep rich and they spend more happy life.

BR2-07: Stories of Mermaids

I read “Stories of Mermaids” today. This book composed three short stories of mermaids. I will talk about one of three that I like best.

My favorite story is “The ghostly galleon”. This story is; Harmony lived with her mother. They were so poor but Harmony tried to keep up cheerful by singing beautiful songs. One day, Harmony’s mother was sick. The only care is polka dot seaweed but it only grows in the pirate’s Graveyard. There is spooky place but Harmony want. In there, she found it but she was caught by Gingerbeard’s ghost. She sang sadly and Gingerbeard heard her songs. Finally, he let her go home because he couldn’t endure to hear her songs. Harmony’s mother was cured. Thanks to Gingerbeard’s gold, they moved into warm and cozy place.

I loved mermaids stories. Mermaids are very cute. This story is interesting for me. Because Gingerbeard finally liberated Harmony and he gave her not only seaweed but also treasures. I think that he is a kind man at bottom. I believe that mermaid lived somewhere in the world.

BR2-06: The Garden That We Grew

I read “The Garden That We Grew” today. This story is; children planted the seeds of pumpkin in the garden. They grew these seeds. In autumn, they picked their pumpkins. They scooped the pumpkins inside and cooked. They made faces with pumpkins outside. They saved the seeds to grow pumpkins next year.

I like this story because this story is warm me. I also have grown sweet potato before. And in autumn I picked them and ate. That was very delicious. I thought that if I have a time, I try to grow something vegetables again.

2-03c: History of Languages Revision

Do you think that we need to learn languages? I think we need to learn language. Of course mother tongue, English, and other country language. Languages are most important way of human communication. In the past, I have studied our mother tongue, English and French. In the present, I study English in deeply. In the future, I want to learn English and I want to be able to communicate in English.

In the future, I want to put English to account in my job. So I will keep learning English. I think that to communicate in English is essential for us in the future. Because Japan is in internationalization, so we need English. And English is the common language so if I could speak English, I can talk with various people. I want to go to study abroad someday. I’ll go to study abroad by all means if I have a chance and enough money. Then, I’ve never learned Asia countries languages but Japanese so I want to try to learn Asian countries languages like Chinese or Korean.

At the present, I study English in KGU. I study speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Now, we should write English blog. It is hard for me to keep writing blog but I think that to continue writing blog is good way to learn writing. In the speaking class, we learn how to debate or presentations. It is good for me to progress with my English skill. Speaking is the best way to improve my English skill. In the reading class, I learn how to read newspapers in English. Thanks to this class, I can understand rule of English newspaper’s headline. In addition, I learn English history and English phonetics. It is difficult for me. And I’m interested in foreign literatures so I take the class of American literatures. It is very interesting for me. I want to learn not only languages but also literatures.

In past, when I was born, I learned mother language from my parents. After that, I learned hiragana and katakana in preschool. In elementary school, I learned kanji. I didn’t like to study kanji because it was difficult for me so I was poor at kanji. What’s more, in elementary school, I learned Japanese reading. Then I liked reading so I liked Japanese class.

In junior high school, I learned Japanese grammar. I spoke Japanese without conscious grammar so I was confused a little. Also, I learned Japanese classics. I liked Japanese classics very much. “Taketori Monogatari” is the most interest story for me. And I learned English in the first time. Honestly speaking, I didn’t like to learn English the first because it was difficult for me. But soon, I understood English and I enjoyed learning English. So I decided to entered English class of high school.

In high school, I learned English more. In summer vacation of my high school days, I joined English camp. Then we talk each other only in English. That was good experience for me. I experienced English debate the first time and we played English drama at the school festival. Also, I talked with assistant language teacher and exchange students in English actively. They taught me English and I taught them Japanese. One German exchange student taught me German a little.

In KGU last year, I learned English speaking, reading, writing, listening, and grammar. And I interested in French so learned French in KGU last year. The reason why I interested in French, my favorite Japanese singer sings covered French songs so I wanted to understand the songs meaning. But it is more difficult than I used to think. I could understand French a little.

When I was interested in languages spoken in other countries especially English because I was English major when I was a high school student. French is difficult for me but French classes were interesting. If I have a time, I want to learn French more. I study English in KGU now but my communication skill of English is still weak. I’ll study English more and more. I hope that I could talk in English smoothly. Also if I have a chance, I will try other languages of East Asia, like Chinese or Korean.
